Walk up RP is present but it is 50/50 in whether it'll be good or bad (Same on MG Alliance.) Community is more separate with no real equivalent of Warcraft Conquest or Coalition from MG (and MG Horde respectively.) MG Alliance is more or less the same like WRA Horde ... Prob a 70-30 split. Stormrage and Sargeras are both very active Alliance realms. I moved to Proudmoore for this expansion and am loving it. It's packed and there's always people around. It is the best private server I've ever played. Dalaran-Wow has been my default server for the past 6-7 years, and it is great too, just low pop now. The main reason I have enjoyed both is both are well-scripted servers, and have healthy economies. The first thing I do to "test" a private server is scan the AH.. Whopercent27s playing this thursday
The best realms to be on are the ones with low pop, the black auction house market is cheap. You can get a full tier 3 set for less than a million if you’re lucky, or a little over. On other realms you cant. I ran some queries on all NA servers today for population estimates as found using a check of those in the LFG chat channel. This is obviously not perfect but is a much closer estimate than Ironforge.Pro or CensusPlusWOTLK.So for example your realm might follow Central time zone but the datacenter the realm belongs to could be in LA. I found this information on wow wiki. They had a list on thier website as well but they included that it might not be up to date. Not a New York data center. Server time and data center location dont correlate..You probably want a full or high pop server that is dominated by your faction, which means more active guilds/players/ah for you. The AH commodities (mats, consumables etc) is region wide nowadays. Gear you still want a lot of buyers/sellers I guess. Area-52 is the biggest Horde server. It’s fine. Def a lot of people around. It’s more of a self-contained place as opposed to other servers that have a ton of connected realms and CRZ in open world.
